In August 2002 Stewart Krentzman received a call from his wife Bonnie, learning that she may have breast cancer. At that moment, Stewart made a promise to himself that if Bonnie would be OK, they would do something to help others fight the disease. Fortunately, it was a scare, yet both Stewart and Bonnie still planned to make good on his promise. After a trip to Memphis, Stewart and Bonnie decided to restore a black 1955 Cadillac to match every detail of the original Pink Cadillac Elvis gave to his mother and make the "Twin Sister" of the most famous car in the world available for breast cancer fundraising. Beyond the cars color and its tie to Elvis and motherly love, the restoration of the "Twin Sister" Pink Cadillac symbolizes the rebuilding process many strong women must go through in overcoming this disease.

Stewart is the President and CEO of OKI Data Americas, a business printing solutions manufacturer located in Mt. Laurel, NJ. In early 2007, when deciding on what philanthropic program the company would support, more than 500 employees of OKI Data Americas elected to dedicate charitable resources to the breast cancer cause. As a result, OKI Data Americas launched the "Color Me OKI" breast cancer program, taking the "Twin Sister" to 21 breast cancer events from April 2007 throughout February 2008. At each event, attendees have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the "Twin Sister" and StingRay Elvis in exchange for donations that go directly to the events sponsoring breast cancer organization. The photos are printed out onsite by Digital Color Printers from OKI Printing Solutions, providing attendees with a take-home memory of the day.
OKI Data Americas' dedication to help raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer will continue throughout 2008. Please view StingRay's schedule to see where the Color Me OKI program will be next! |
