Dave has also worked a sideman for a who’s who of roots music masters, such as Bo Diddley, Sleepy La Beef, Big Jay McNeely, Eddy Clearwater, Tracy Nelson, Ruth Brown, Eddie Kirkland,Ronnie and Wayne Baker Brooks,Carl Weathersby,and Deborah Coleman in addition to accompanying such diverse artists as Gladys Knight, Pam Tillis, David Johansen and Darlene Love. He currently appears frequently with bluesman Popa Chubby, folk legend Odetta and gospel great Marie Knight.

For the six year run of the Grammy award winning Broadway musical smash SMOKEY JOE’S CAFÉ, Dave served as the associate conductor, conducting over 600 performances on Broadway. Since then, he also conducted and performed in the orchestras of Broadway musicals LENNON, URBAN COWBOY and the Earth Wind & Fire inspired HOT FEET.

Most recently, Dave who was the musical director and band leader for the nationally syndicated NBC TV morning variety show, The Ainsley Harriott Show, has been writing music for televison and the media. Along with multi instrumentalist Chris Eminizer, Dave has created Crave Music to supply music to the industry.Crave Music’s underscoring and songs have appeared in numerous TV and film settings. Their work runs the gamut from emotional underscore, to vintage R&R, to contemporary Alternative and Indie Rock.
